Island Builder Map Expansion Unlocks

After creating your sixth Mii in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, you unlock the ability to start landscaping your island with the Island Builder feature! Initially, you can only work with a very limited area around the pre-existing island, but this can be expanded later.
Island Expansion Thresholds
There are four different maximum sizes for your Tomodachi Life island, starting with the unlock of the Island Builder at 6 Miis:
| Miis Created | Island Size |
|---|---|
| 6 Miis | Island Builder Unlocked 50 x 36 |
| 8 Miis | First Expansion 70 x 50 |
| 20 Miis | Second Expansion 90 x 64 |
| 35 Miis | Final Expansion 120 x 80 |
When you meet these Mii creation thresholds, the maximum expansion size of your island increases!
The island size does not decrease accordingly when Miis are deleted from your island, so it is possible to spam create temporary placeholder Miis just to expand the island first, and then remove those Miis to create proper ones later. The clone feature is great for this as well.
Note that removing Mii residents does come at a small cost though, so make sure you have significant funds before doing using this technique.
All Landscaping Tiles in Island Builder
Below you can find all of the available Landscaping tiles to unlock in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and use in the Island Builder to expand your island’s terrain.
Note that some tiles are unlocked at the Wishing Fountain, including with seasonal real-time restrictions. For example, the Cherry blossoms can only be unlocked during Spring.
